For the past six days, police in Tennessee have been hoping to receive new information that will lead them to Tad Cummins, the former teacher of 15-year-old high school student Elizabeth Thomas. It is suspected that Cummins kidnapped Thomas. According to the Thomas family’s lawyer, the former teacher is armed and dangerous. Cummins’ name has been added to the state’s “Top 10 Most Wanted” list.

It was first suspected that Thomas was kidnapped last week after her high school in Culleoka, Tennessee, reported that she did not show up for class. The local police department then launched a manhunt for 50-year-old Cummins, claiming that the girl is in imminent danger.

On Friday, Cummins’ wife Jill urged her husband to turn himself in to the police. “Tad, this is not you,” she said during a news conference. “Please do the right thing and turn yourself in to the police and bring Beth home.”

So far, 250 tips about the kidnapper’s whereabouts from 24 different states have been called in to local police stations. Unfortunately, none of them have led police to the suspect’s location.
