Manhunt underway in Sweden for vehicular attack suspect

The Swedish authorities have confirmed that the truck that slammed into a shopping center, claiming the lives of three people, was reported stolen earlier today. The authorities have already released a picture of a suspect wanted in connection with the incident. Swedish police suspect that this was a terror attack.

Swedish police have released the picture of a suspect wanted in connection with the vehicular incident in Stockholm, which occurred on Friday at around 3:00 PM (local time). According to Mats Lofving, a senior level Swedish police official, the picture of the suspect was taken by security cameras close to the time of the incident near the scene.

“We have a picture of a man who was seen at the scene at the same time,” he told reporters. “We want to talk to him.” In the blurry picture, a man wearing a jacket, dark pants and a light-colored T-shirt is seen.

Three people were killed and several others were injured when a truck plowed into a group of pedestrians on a street in the central area of Sweden’s capital city. According to the local police, it appears that this incident was an act of terror. Swedish police have asked the public to stay away from the scene.

Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven said: “Everything indicates an act of terror.” He also said that his country is under attack. The company that owns the truck confirmed shortly after the incident that the vehicle was stolen earlier today.
