According to Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, US President-elect Donald Trump offered her gifts in exchange for positive news coverage of his campaign during the presidential race. One of the gifts she claimed Trump offered her was a free stay at one of his hotels.

In her new memoir titled Settle for More, which is expected to come out on Tuesday, Kelly claims that the president-elect offered many reporters presents in exchange for positive news coverage. “This is actually one of the untold stories of the 2016 campaign,” said Kelly. “He also attempted to woo them with praise. This is smart because the media is full of people whose egos need stroking.”

According to Kelly, Trump sometimes went further than just praising reporters and giving them presents. Kelly added that when it was getting too obvious that a certain reporter was in bed with Trump, the two would work together to plan when the reporter would criticize the Republican nominee.

As reported yesterday by JOL, thousands of people across the US continue to protest Trump’s presidential victory.
