Melania Trump defends her husband regarding audio recording from 2005

For the first time since the audio recording from 2005 of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump speaking offensively about women made international headlines, Melania Trump commented on her husband’s remarks. In an interview with CNN, she said: “I was surprised because that is not the man that I know.”

Melania Trump spoke publicly for the first time last night (Monday) regarding the audio recording of her husband Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump from 2005. In an interview with CNN, Melania defended her husband, saying that he was “egged on from the host to say dirty and bad stuff.”

“I said to my husband that, you know, the language was inappropriate,” she continued. “I was surprised because that is not the man that I know.” Although Melania was upset with how her husband spoke in the audio recording about women, she stated that this is how men talk in private conversations. Melania called these conversations “boy talk.”
