New Reuters poll shows that Clinton is still leading

Hillary Clinton might have won the debate but that didn’t help her in the polls. According to the Reuters news agency, Clinton is still in the lead by 5%, exactly the same lead that she had last month.

According to a poll conducted by the Reuters news agency, Hillary Clinton is still leading by 5% over Donald Trump. The poll doesn’t suggest a drastic change following the presidential debate last Monday.

Of the expected voters, Clinton now has the support of 43% to Trump’s 38% with 19% saying they won’t vote for either opponent. Throughout the year, Clinton has held the lead over Trump while in the last month keeping a steady lead of 4%-5%.

84 million people watched the debate last Monday, making it the most watched debate in history. Approximately 56% of the viewers believed that Clinton won the debate. According to Reuter’s poll on Friday, 48% of expected voters said they hold a positive view of Clinton, compared with 45% in the previous week, while 46% said they had a positive view of Trump, an increase of 2% from last week.

The two other candidates for the White House race are showing much less success. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson has the support of 7% while only 3% supported Jill Stein of the Green Party.

According to Reuters, the poll was conducted online in English in all 50 states. It included 2,501 people who are likely to vote based on their demographic data and the fact that they signed up to vote. It has a 2% margin of error.

A recent Fox News poll also has Clinton leading by 5% over Trump after two weeks ago, the Republican presidential nominee had the lead by 1%.
