North Korea announced on Sunday that it “completely rejects” the new sanctions that the UN Security Council adopted a few days ago. The state-owned KCNA news agency reported that Pyongyang said in an official statement that it “will continue to develop weapons” and test missiles.

On Friday, the UN Security Council voted in favor of expanding the sanctions imposed on the isolated dictatorship in light of its numerous missile tests. This was the first resolution that both the U.S. and China, one of North Korea’s allies, have agreed upon since U.S. President Donald Trump entered the Oval Office.
