Watch: Trump's speech in front of South Korean lawmakers
Today (Wednesday), after US President Donald Trump threatened North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and told him that his country is in ‘grave danger’, the dictator responded.
Several hours following the speech, North Korean media released the following statement: “The US will continue to stare into the abyss of oblivion as long as ‘old madman’ President Trump remains in his seat.”
The isolated dictatorship demanded that the US stop its ‘aggressive policies’ against Kim Jon-un. “A major decision must be made,” the statement read. “If the US does not want to reach tragic destruction and a terrible nuclear disaster.”
Earlier this morning, Trump addressed the South Korean parliament and sent North Korea a message: “Do not underestimate us and do not try us.” Trump delivered the speech just a few hours before he flew to Beijing, where he will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
