The family of the passenger who was violently removed from a United Airlines flight 69-year-old David Dao and his lawyers held a press conference today (Thursday), where they announced that they will most likely file a lawsuit against the airline company.

According to lawyer Tom Demetrio, although Dao was discharged from the hospital, he lost two teeth, suffered a bad concussion and will have to undergo an operation to reconstruct his nose, which was broken during the incident.

Dao’s daughter thanked everyone for the support. “We were horrified and shocked and sickened to learn what had happened to him and to see what had happened to him,” she said. “We hope that nothing like this in future ever happens again.”

“For a long time, airlines, United in particular, have bullied us,” Demetrio told reporters. “Here’s the law, real simple, if you’re going to eject a passenger, under no circumstances can it be done with unreasonable force or violence. That’s the law.”
