Americans flock to polling stations in order to make their voices heard

In less than 24 hours, the results of the 2016 U.S. presidential election will be announced. Meanwhile, many polling stations across the U.S. have already opened their doors as residents flock to them in order to make their voice heard.

Polling stations across the U.S. were opened today (Tuesday) as the highly anticipated Election Day began. Many polls in the past few days indicated that the race will be tight.

Political analysts from all over America were asked what the various outcomes of today’s Election Day could mean and whether there is a chance that a legal battle will begin once the winner is announced tomorrow. According to them, even if Republican nominee Donald Trump refuses to accept the outcome of the election, he will have very little legal leeway to challenge the results.

“Ever since Thomas Jefferson effected the first change in party power in 1800, our democracy has depended upon the peaceful transfer of power,” explained Allan Lichtman, a political historian at American University, to The Huffington Post. “Is Trump going to change 200 years of American history?”

As reported earlier by JOL News, Trump and Hillary Clinton delivered their final speeches late last night.
