The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has issued a breaking alert warning of a possible launch of airstrikes on Syria within the next 72 hours. The agency said on Wednesday that the strikes may involve air-to-ground and/or cruise missiles and may disrupt radio navigation equipment.

Although the warning did not specify the origin of the potential airstrikes, it came amid statements by US President Donald Trump that Washington would respond to a suspected chemical attack in Syria. “We’ll be making some major decisions over the next 24 to 48 hours,” the president said earlier this week. “Nothing is off the table.”
