Three people were killed and several more were injured when a truck plowed into them in Stockholm, Sweden. According to the local police, it appears that this incident was an act of terror. Swedish police have asked the public to stay away from the scene. Some reports claim that shortly after the incident, a suspect was arrested.
Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven said: “Everything indicates an act of terror.” He also said that his country is under attack. The company that owns the truck confirmed shortly after the incident that the vehicle was stolen earlier today.

According to eye-witnesses, the truck slammed into a store on one of the main shopping streets in the city. One eye-witness told a local newspaper that “hundreds of people were running for their lives.” According to another report, shortly after the truck slammed into the store, gunshots were heard not far from the scene of the vehicular incident.
Dimitris, an eye-witness, described the terrifying moments of the incident: “I was going to the main street when a big truck came out of nowhere. I couldn’t see whether anyone was driving it but it got out of control. I saw at least two people being run over. I ran away as fast as I could.”
