Russia defends Trump: Putin willing to give Congress transcript of Trump-Lavrov conversationIn light of the panic in Washington and America following U.S. President Donald Trump’s meeting with Russian officials, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he is willing to give Congress the transcript of the conversation in order to prove that Trump did not disclose classified information.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that he is prepared to give Congress the transcript of the conversation between his foreign minister and U.S. President Donald Trump if the White House allows him to do so. Putin harshly criticized the U.S. politicians who oppose Moscow and called them “stupid and dangerous.”
During a joint press conference with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni in Sochi, Putin said that Trump did not disclose any top secret information to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. In addition, Putin spoke out against the American media’s handling of the alleged leak, saying “they aren’t allowing Trump to work as he needs to be [working].”
Earlier today, JOL News reported that by leaking the confidential information to Russia, Trump may have put the life of an Israeli spy who infiltrated ISIS in danger, according to ABC News.
