US President-elect Donald Trump is considering appointing Mitt Romney as his Secretary of State, a Republican source has told CNN. The two are expected to meet on Sunday to discuss the required steps towards setting up the new administration.
Romney, a former Massachusetts governor who lost the 2012 election to President Barack Obama, was one of Trump's strongest critics during his presidential campaign. The meeting between the two will mark the beginning of Trump's attempts to reunify his party.
