Romania’s president has called for Prime Minister Viorica Dancila’s resignation over her decision to relocate the country’s embassy to Jerusalem without consulting him.

In a statement on Friday, President Klaus Iohannis charged that Dancila’s government is a liability for Romania and that she is not fit to be prime minister, a post she assumed three months ago. Iohannis mentioned a “secret document” about the embassy move that was passed by the government last week, saying that it was “a huge mistake” because he was not informed of the document, according to the Romania Journal.

Dancila was in Israel this week along with Romanian Chamber of Deputies President Liviu Dragnea. On Thursday, Iohannis slammed their visit. The Romania Journal quoted him as saying that he does not know what “secret deals” Liviu Dragnea made there.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu separately met with Dancila and Liviu Dragnea. According to Netanyahu’s office, the Israeli prime minister thanked his Romanian counterpart for Bucharest’s decision to move the embassy to Jerusalem.

When speaking with Liviu Dragnea, Netanyahu thanked him for strengthening the Romanian-Israeli relationship. “It is a good friendship,” he added. “It is getting stronger all the time.”
