The crash took place at Khmeimim Airbase in Syria as the airplane attempted to land. According to Russian news agencies, it appears that the crash was caused by a technical issue.
The Kremlin stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent his condolences to the families of the 32 people who were killed in the crash, the news agencies added.
