Police arrived at Ohio State University in Columbus today (Monday) after an 18-year-old suspect rammed his car into a crowd of students and then exited the vehicle and started attacking pedestrians with a butcher knife. At least 9 people were injured and evacuated to a hospital. One of the victims is in critical condition.

The suspect was fatally shot be police officers who were rushed to the scene. The incident was initially reported as a shooting. “Active Shooter on campus. Run Hide Fight. Watts Hall. 19th and College,” read the tweet uploaded by the university's emergency management agency. However, as time passed, it turned out that the suspect was armed with a butcher knife, not a gun.
