After U.S. President Donald Trump’s meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas this evening (Wednesday) at the White House, Israeli Communications Minister Tzachi Hanegbi will meet with the president’s special envoy for international negotiations Jason Greenblatt in Brussels. Meanwhile, White House press secretary Sean Spicer has confirmed that Trump spoke to Abbas about the Palestinian Authority’s payments to terrorists and their families.
At the end of the meeting, Spicer said: “The president raised concerns about the payments to Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails who have committed acts of terror and to their families and emphasized the need to resolve this issue.”

Spicer added that during the meeting, the two leaders discussed “strengthening efforts to combat terrorism - including defeating ISIS - measures to empower the Palestinian economy and provide economic opportunity for the Palestinian people” and other matters.
