Drinking 2-3 cups of coffee a day could help you live longer, study showsMost research studies about our favorite foods and drinks warn us to stay away from them but a new study found a direct correlation between coffee drinking and a reduced risk of dying prematurely.
A 16-year research study that included more than half a million participants worldwide found that men who drank two or three cups of coffee a day reduced their chances of dying prematurely by 18%. Even those who drank only one cup a day lowered their chances by 12%.
The study showed that the type of coffee was irrelevant. Cappuccino, iced coffee, regular and decaf drinkers all showed the same results. The study showed a direct connection between coffee drinking and a lowered risk of heart disease, stroke and liver disease.
