Footage from Russian metro explosion: Suspected terror attack kills at least 10

According to reports, explosive devices containing iron pellets and nails blasted in a St. Petersburg, Russia metro station. At least 10 people were killed and 50 more were injured in the suspected terror attack.

According to reports from Russia, two explosions occurred today (Monday) in a St. Petersburg metro station. 50 people were injured during the incident, while at least 10 people were killed.

Initial investigations discovered that two explosive devices simultaneously blasted inside two different trains. Local security forces noted that the explosive devices contained nails and other shrapnel inside, which raises suspicions that this could have been a terror attack. All metro stations are currently closed.

Pictures from the scene of the attack reveal rising smoke and wounded people sprawled across the ground. An eye witness present during the incident tweeted: “I was riding the escalator and suddenly, I felt a wave from below reverberating through the tunnel. The station is being evacuated.”
