Terrorists launched major attacks at two different locations in Iran’s capital of Tehran on Wednesday. The first attack took place at the Iranian Parliament building when four armed men stormed the place, opening fire and taking people hostage. Shortly thereafter, it was reported that one of the terrorists was apparently wearing an explosive belt and blew himself up inside the building. The second attack took place at the tomb of revolutionary Iran’s first supreme religious leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

According to Amaq News Agency, the murderous terrorist organization’s media outlet, ISIS has claimed responsibility for the twin attacks in which at least 12 people were murdered. In light of the attacks, Iranian intelligence agencies called on the public to avoid public transportation for the time being. The agencies also announced that several terrorists who were on their way to carry out a third attack somewhere in the city were arrested.

It was also reported that the security forces have eliminated one of the terrorists.
