The Republican Candidate announced last night (Tuesday) that he plans to meet with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto while he is visiting the country today.

The meeting is expected to take place a few hours before Trump will deliver a speech regarding his immigration policy. The speech was originally supposed to be delivered last week but was postponed until today.

Trump wrote on his Twitter account that he is looking forward to the meeting with the Mexican President. The Republican Candidate accepted Peña Nieto’s invitation to meet after months of tension between the two.

Throughout his election campaign, Trump has talked several times about the immigration from Mexico. He promised to build a wall between the countries and called Mexican illegal immigrants rapists and criminals. Peña Nieto compared Trump’s rhetoric to that of Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini.
