US President Donald Trump landed in Japan on Sunday, launching his 12-day tour of Asia.

Speaking before American and Japanese troops at Yokota air base near Tokyo, Trump said "no dictator" should underestimate what the US can do, alluding to North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.

“No one, no dictator, no regime … should underestimate American resolve,” Trump said. "Our brave warriors are the last bulwark against threats to the dreams of people in America and Japan and all across the world."

"You are the greatest hope for people who desire to live in freedom and harmony and you are the greatest threat to tyrants and dictators who seek to prey on the innocent," he added.

Trump defended his tough rhetoric against North Korea, telling reporters he will soon decide whether to add North Korea to a list of state sponsors of terrorism.
