US President Donald Trump commented today on the latest North Korean missile test, which was carried out early Tuesday morning. "The world has received North Korea's latest message loud and clear," Trump said. "This regime has signaled its contempt for its neighbors, for all members of the United Nations, and for minimum standards of acceptable international behavior."

Trump also had some threatening words for North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un: "Threatening and destabilizing actions only increase the North Korean regime's isolation in the region and among all nations of the world. All options are on the table."

Meanwhile, a Russian lawmaker said: "The recent test shows that the threat to target Guam was not a bluff." The Russian official added that the UN sanctions against North Korea's missile program have failed. According to him, the sanctions did not work "because of the situation that has become a head-on confrontation between North Korea and the United States."

Defense experts explained this morning that the projectile launched by the pariah state appears to be a new kind of Hwasong-12 missile. The intermediate-range missile flew for about 2,700 kilometers before blowing up.
