Yesterday (Thursday), US President Donald Trump held a joint press conference in the White House with the President of Colombia. During the press conference, Trump responded to the firing of former FBI director James Comey and to the possible investigation regarding connections with Russia.

Trump denied the accusations claiming that he asked Comey not to investigate former National Security Advisor Michael T. Flynn. He also responded to the appointment of a special counsel that will lead the investigation on Russia’s interference in the election. “The entire thing has been a witch hunt,” Trump said. “I think it divides the country. We want to bring this great country of our together.”

“We have to get back to running this country really, really well,” Trump added. During the press conference, Trump also mentioned his progress since he entered office, including an increase in jobs and production in the US.
