Trump gave personal cellphone number to world leaders, urged to contact him directly

According to official sources, US President Donald Trump provided world leaders with his personal phone number and told them to contact him directly. As of now, only Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has used the number, according to the sources.

According to the Associated Press news, official sources stated that US President Donald Trump gave his personal phone number to world leaders. The idea of world leaders calling each other directly is considered a breach of protocol in the diplomatic world.

According to the same sources, Trump urged Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto to contact him directly on the cellphone. The sources, who have direct access to the information, stated that only Trudeau has used the number until today.

Trump also exchanged numbers with newly elected French President Emmanuel Macron after congratulating him on his election victory, according to a French official.

All the sources asked to remain anonymous as they are not permitted to disclose the information. The White House and Trudeau’s office also refused to comment on the subject.
