One year after defeating Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, a new poll published by the Washington Post and ABC News indicates that US President Donald Trump has received the lowest presidential support ratings of the century: only 37%.

As part of the poll, American citizens were asked how satisfied they are with Trump’s conduct and achievements. At the same point in former US President Barack Obama’s term, his support ratings stood at 57%.

Such low support for a US president at this point in his term has not been recorded in over 70 years. Two-thirds of the respondents said that Trump achieved “very little” while some said that he “hasn’t achieved anything.” The last president to receive such low support ratings at the one-year mark of his term was former US President Harry Truman.
