At least 26 were reportedly killed Friday in what is being described as the strongest earthquake to have hit Mexico in a century.
The 8.2 magnitude quake, which was also felt in the neighboring country of Guatemala, caused homes, schools and hospitals to lose power and prompted warnings of tsunami across Central America.
The last time a strong tremor hit the region was in 1985, when an 8.1 magnitude quake killed about 10,000 in Mexico City.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry has stated that all the Israeli envoys and diplomats in Mexico are in good condition.
