Several months after shocking the world with plans for the first self-flying taxis before the end of the year, Dubai has revealed their next technological development that will fight crime- the robotic patrol car.

Although small, the patrol’s abilities could potentially drastically decrease the crime rate in the streets. The machine has constant communication with a drone, which is recording and working with the Dubai police headquarters.

Singaporean OTSAW Digital is responsible for developing the incredible security robot, called O-R3. Dubai will be the first city to implement the robot, already before the end of the year. “We seek to augment operations with the help of technology such as robots,” Commander in Chief of the Dubai Police Force Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri stated. “Essentially, we aim for streets to be safe and peaceful even without heavy police patrol.”
