Yesterday (Thursday), British entrepreneur Richard Browning broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest speed in a body controlled jet engine powered suit, reaching a speed of 51 kilometers per hour in an experiment conducted over a lake in England.

“I am delighted we have set the record,” he said. “I’m very proud indeed to be a part of Guinness World Records Day, it is a pleasure and a privilege to have our unique creation recognized and celebrated all round the world.”

The suit is equipped with six kerosene-fueled engines. According to Browning, in the future he also intends to install wings and increase the maximum flight range of the suit.
