Watch: Syrian artist paints Trump, Netanyahu, other world leaders as refugees

A series of paintings by Abdalla Al Omari, a Syrian refugee living in Belgium, shows what prominent world leaders would look like as refugees.

A Syrian artist has created a series of paintings portraying world leaders, including US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as refugees.

In an exhibition called The Vulnerability Series, currently on display in Dubai, Abdalla Al Omari shows what top world diplomats would look like as homeless people dressed in ragged clothes.

Omari, who is himself a refugee in Belgium, told CNN that his own experiences prompted him to create the paintings.

In one painting, Trump is seen looking weak and hopeless while carrying a child on his shoulder and holding up a family photo.

Other prominent leaders included in the series are Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.
