Yesterday (Wednesday), one person was killed and seven others were injured in a horrible accident in an amusement park at the Ohio State Fair.
Three of the wounded were evacuated to the hospital in critical condition. The accident occurred when one of the benches was detached from the ride. An 18-year-old boy was killed upon impact with the ground.
According to the operators, there were no signs of malfunction, and the ride was functioning properly in the preliminary tests. Ohio Governor John Kasich ordered the rest of the rides to be shut down until further security inspections.

The ride, known as the Fire Ball, holds at least six rows of four seats that revolve around themselves as the device swings from side to side. One of these rows got detached.
