Donald Trump, who will become America’s 45th president in January 2017, delivered his victory speech this morning (Wednesday) in New York. “To all Republicans and Democrats and independents across this nation, I say it is time for us to come together as one united people,” Trump said to his excited supporters in New York. “I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all Americans, and this is so important to me.”

“I’ve just received a call from Secretary Clinton,” Trump continued. “She congratulated us — it’s about us — on our victory and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign. I mean, she — she fought very hard.”

“I want to tell the world community that while we will always put America’s interests first, we will deal fairly with everyone, with everyone — all people and all other nations,” the president-elect added. “We will seek common ground, not hostility; partnership, not conflict.”

As JOL reported earlier today, vice president-elect Mike Pence also congratulated his running mate before he took the stage.
