Watch: Tsunami follows 6.9-magnitude earthquake in Japan

Due to the earthquake that rattled Japan yesterday, tsunami waves hit the coast.

Tsunami waves were triggered by the earthquake that hit Japan yesterday evening (Monday). Yesterday’s earthquake struck close to the town of Namie.

The 6.9-magnitude earthquake prompted the Japanese authorities to issue a tsunami warning. There is a nuclear plant in the area where the earthquake hit. The nuclear plant was damaged in the 2011 tsunami. However, the local media outlets claim that the plant was not damaged by yesterday’s earthquake.
