Weinstein hired intelligence companies to prevent publication of allegationsYesterday, The New Yorker revealed that Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein hired the services of intelligence companies, including ex-Mossad agents, to prevent the publication of the sexual assault allegations.
Yesterday (Monday), The New Yorker reported that Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, who is suspected of rape and accused by dozens of women of sexual harassment, employed ex-Mossad agents to prevent the publication of the allegations.
According to the report, Weinstein began the attempts to sweep the charges against him last year. He hired the services of intelligence companies Black Cube and Kroll in order to collect information about the complainants and the journalists who tried to expose the charges. The agents even met with the women and built a psychological profile based on their sexual histories.
Two Black Cube agents, “highly experienced and trained in Israel’s elite military and governmental intelligence units,” used a false identity to meet with actress Rose McGowan and secretly recorded the conversations in an attempt to extract information from her. McGowan eventually accused Weinstein of rape. In some cases, the producer sent journalists to interview the women and report back to him.
