White House: Trump doesn’t believe that Obama personally wiretapped himAfter U.S. President Donald Trump accused former President Barack Obama of wiretapping his phones before the election, the White House press secretary stated that Trump did not actually mean that Obama himself listen to his phone calls.
U.S. President Donald Trump accused his predecessor of wiretapping his phones during the presidential election campaign several days ago. However, White House press secretary Sean Spicer clarified on Monday that Trump “doesn’t really think that President Obama went up and tapped his phone personally.”
After Trump made his accusation on Twitter, he did not provide any evidence to back it. Moreover, some senior level Washington officials even stated that there is no evidence to warrant it. Last week, the White House stated that Trump does not regret the series of tweets.
