56-year-old Israeli trekker killed in India after falling into gorge

The body of 56-year-old Ariel Fryman has been rescued and brought to a nearby town, according to local media reports. The Israeli Foreign Ministry is assisting the family.

A 56-year-old Israeli trekker was killed on Tuesday in northern India after falling into a gorge. Local media has reported that Ariel Fryman's body has been rescued and brought to the nearby town of Uttarkashi.

Fryman was trekking with his wife, his son and another couple, who had to keep walking until they reached a place with reception where they could call for help. The Israeli Foreign Ministry has contacted Fryman's family and is assisting them with bringing his body to Israel.

On Sunday, 22-year-old Oshri Malsa from Ashdod was killed in a head-on collision in Johannesburg, South Africa.
