An Israeli couple and their four children were involved in a serious car accident this morning (Tuesday) during a trip in the Tusheti region of Georgia. Two of the children, Achinoam and Nevo Greenfeld, were killed in the accident. The rest of the family members sustained minor injuries. The family is from the Israeli settlement of Ma'ale Mikhmas.

“All of Ma'ale Mikhmas is mourning the death of two children from the Greenfeld family: Achinoam who was in 5th grade and Nevo who was in kindergarten,” stated the Israeli settlement’s spokesperson. The parents and their other two children were transported to a hospital in the city of Telavi for medical treatment. Chabad officials in Georgia are assisting the family members and the Israeli Foreign Affairs Ministry is also involved. A family member who had remained in Israel is currently on his way to Georgia.
