The German conglomerate corporation ThyssenKrupp decided today (Tuesday) to launch an internal probe due to the conflict of interest allegations against David Shimron, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s personal lawyer who represented the company in the controversial submarine deal.

“We are now making the necessary move once we learned about the possible irregularities,” read a statement from ThyssenKrupp. “We will get down to the facts of this incident.”

Meanwhile, the controversial deal will be discussed in the Knesset after MK Karin Elharar (Yesh Atid), the head of the State Control Committee, announced that the Israeli Attorney General has been summoned to a meeting regarding the matter. In addition, former Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon and Shimron will be attending the meeting. “I intend to use all the tools at my disposal as the head of the committee in order to receive suffice answers,” stated Elharar.
