Omri Casspi, the Israeli player in the best basketball league in the world, has signed a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors, which contacted the Israeli basketball player and conducted negotiations with him, ESPN reported on Tuesday evening.

According to the report, the 29-year-old forward signed a deal worth about $2.1 million for one season. Neither the team nor Casspi has issued a comment, apparently because the sides are waiting for the deal to be finalized.

For Casspi, who was a free agent after finishing his contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, this is a dream come true because he will be joining the 2016-2017 NBA champion team and gain the opportunity to play alongside some of the best players in the league.

This will be Casspi’s sixth team in his eight years in the NBA after playing for the Sacramento Kings, Cleveland Cavaliers, Houston Rockets, New Orleans Pelicans and Minnesota Timberwolves. Casspi has never played in an NBA playoff game and now it appears that he might have a shot with the Golden State Warriors. However, before the beginning of the upcoming NBA season, Casspi will lead the national Israeli basketball team in the European championship games, which will take place in Tel Aviv at the end of August.
