Israeli tourist found dead in Nepalese hotel

Elad Cooper, age 20, was found dead in his hotel room in the city of Pokhara after the staff noticed that he did not leave his room for a couple of days.

The Nepalese Police announced today that the body of Elad Cooper, a 20-year-old Israeli tourist from Or Yehuda, was found in Pokhara, the second largest city in the country. The cause of death remains unclear.

According to the Himalayan Times, police officers were summoned this morning to room 301 inside a hotel where Cooper stayed the last 4 months after the staff noticed that he did not come out of his room for a couple of days. The police broke down the door and found Cooper lying on his bed lifeless. The body has been sent for an autopsy.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry stated that they are helping to return Cooper’s body to Israel.
