Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono has invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas and US President Donald Trump's special advisor Jared Kushner to a summit in Tokyo to discuss a new peace initiative.
Sources in Jerusalem have clarified that any proposal for a peace plan will be discussed first with the American administration. They also said the date set for the summit, March 14, will not be possible for Netanyahu because it coincides with his scheduled appearance at AIPAC.
