Following Trump’s Israel visit: Kushner, Greenblatt to arrive to renew Israeli-Palestinian negotiations

US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and US Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt will arrive in Israel this week in order to progress Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. The two will hold meetings both in Ramallah and in Jerusalem, continuing subjects discussed upon Trump’s recent Israel visit.

US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and US Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt are set to arrive in Israel this week in order to progress the peace process with the Palestinians, said a White House official this morning (Monday).

Greenblatt will land in Israel today and Kushner will join him on Wednesday, when the two Trump aids are expected to visit Jerusalem and Ramallah. “Excited to be traveling back to Israel and the Pal. Territories to continue the discussion about the possibility of peace,” Greenblatt tweeted. The visit comes one month after Trump’s first trip to Israel since taking office.

The White House official stated that the two are supposed to meet with leaders from both sides and hear the steps that the leaders are willing to take in order to renew peace negotiations. The source also said that Trump is determined to reach an agreement and that the issue is one of his top priorities. “He strongly believes that peace is possible,” the official said.
