The Trump administration is continuing to push for a two-state solution. After US President Donald Trump had his first conversation with PA leader Abu Mazen, tomorrow, Trump’s envoy Jason Greenblatt will be holding talks in Jerusalem and Ramallah. He will be meeting with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin. The main issues on the agenda are reaching an understanding with Israel on settlement activity and promoting negotiations between both sides.

One of the burning issues to be discussed is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to build a new community for the Amona evacuees in the West Bank. Channel 2 News has learned that Netanyahu’s line of defense with the Trump administration is that this is not a new settlement but an alternative community for people who were evacuated from their homes, which means “one for one.”
