Netflix launches into the Israeli market with new Hebrew interface, added Israeli contentDespite Netflix's global launch last year which allowed users in Israel to access their Netflix libraries and stream content available in Israel, today (Wednesday) the Internet TV network announced it's plunge into the Israeli entertainment market: a new Hebrew interface featuring additional Israeli content on top of the current Netflix library and subscription payments in NIS.
Netflix announced today (Wednesday) the launch of its new Hebrew interface. The new service catering to the Israeli public will offer payment in NIS and will feature additional Israeli television series and films, on top of Netflix's original productions, starting at a monthly rate of 29.90 NIS.
"We are delighted to offer a more local Netflix experience in Hebrew,” said Jonathan Friedland, Chief Communication Officer at Netflix. “Israel knows great entertainment and now it’s even easier to watch the world's favorite shows on Netflix anytime, anywhere, on any internet-connected device and at the same time as the rest of the world, with all episodes available to watch at once.”
Netflix is the world's leading Internet TV network with 104 million subscribers in more than 190 countries. The network streams more than 125 million hours of TV shows and movies every day, including original series, documentaries and feature films. Content can be viewed via the Internet.
