US Vice President Mike Pence on Saturday told a crowd of Republican Jews in Las Vegas that the Trump administration is committed to ensuring Israel's security.

Pence said that although the US supports peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians, any agreement will have to ensure Israel's well-being. "If the world knows nothing else, it will know this: America stands with Israel," he said.

He also condemned the act of vandalism at a St. Louis Jewish cemetery. "We condemn these vile acts of vandalism and those who perpetrated them in the strongest possible terms," Pence said. "Anti-Semitism has no place in America and the Jewish community is a beautiful thread in our national fabric."
