Today (Monday), the New York Times reported that a part of the classified information that US President Donald Trump allegedly leaked to the Russian Foreign Minister concerns an Israeli intelligence discovery. The newspaper reported that two senior-level US officials stated that Israeli "cyberoperators" penetrated a small and radical cell of bomb manufacturers in Syria a few months ago.

The information obtained through the cyber attack is considered a "rare success" in the cyber battle against ISIS. The report also claimed that Israel and the US operated together in order to damage Iran's nuclear facilities. The Israeli cyber attack revealed to the US and the West that ISIS is operating to manufacture small explosives that will mislead the X-ray detectors and other screening at the airports by looking like batteries for laptop computers.

According to the officials, the intelligence was so accurate that it led the US to ban large electronic devices from flights departing from many Muslim countries. According to the New York Times, this same information was leaked by Trump to the Russian Foreign Affairs Minister and to the Russian Ambassador to the US.
