Diplomatic sources in Egypt claim that President Abdul Fattah El Sisi and US President Donald Trump discussed during their meeting on Monday the initiative to hold a regional peace conference this summer to advance Palestinian-Israeli peace negotiations, the London-based Al Hayat newspaper reported.

According to the report, the two leaders discussed among other things the political deadlock between Israelis and Palestinians. They also spoke about an initiative where the US plans to hold a regional peace summit. It is likely that Trump will also discuss this with the King of Jordan.
