After it was reported earlier that Harvey Weinstein hired the Israeli security firm Black Cube in order to gather information on the women who accused him of sexual assault, it has now been revealed that the disgraced Hollywood producer first heard about the company from none other than Israel's former Prime Minister Ehud Barak.

It was further reported that Weinstein invited Barak, as well as Dan Zurla, the owner of Black Cube, to a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton he held last year.

The New Yorker reported Monday that Weinstein signed a contract with Black Cube in July in which it was agreed that the company would help him prevent the publication of his alleged sexual abuse by acquiring information on the accusers as well as the journalists who worked on the story.
