After US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley warned that the US will take note of the countries that choose to vote in favor of the resolution to reject the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, President Donald Trump added his own threat ahead of the UN General Assembly emergency meeting.

"They take hundreds of millions of dollars and even billions of dollars and then they vote against us," Trump told reporters. "Well, we’re watching those votes. Let them vote against us. We’ll save a lot. We don’t care."

The upcoming emergency meeting at the UN General Assembly was requested by a bloc of Arab states after the US vetoed the resolution at the UN Security Council on Monday. The US does not have veto-power at the General Assembly.
