Yesterday evening (Tuesday), US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley urged the Palestinians to stop turning to the UN and begin working with Israel to put an end to the conflict. During a meeting with Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian representative to the international body, Haley accused the Palestinian Authority of encouraging acts of violence against Israel.

In a statement to the press, Haley said: “We stressed the need for the Palestinian Authority to stop its incitement to violence, and urged them to meet with Israel in direct peace negotiations rather than looking to the UN to deliver results that can only be achieved through the two parties.”

In response, the Palestinian Authority accused the US of discrimination.
